One year ago today, you were still alive. You were sad that you couldn't take me out for my first legal drink. You mouthed, "Happy Birthday" to me. When I blew out the candle on my cake, I wished that you would be able to come home with us.
I miss you so much, s'monster. It's easiest to just pretend that you're still far away in a different country. But then I have to ask myself why I never get to talk to you.
I'll go visit you soon and I'll take a can of Dr. Pepper with me.
